Projects

Overview

Projects track the work you deliver after the sale — onboarding, a website build, a campaign, a retainer month. Each project links to a customer, has a due date and a progress value, and sits on a board grouped by status so you can see at a glance what's on track, what's late, and what's done. It closes the loop from lead → deal → quote → invoice → delivery.

The Board & How Columns Are Computed

Projects are grouped into three columns, derived automatically from status and due date — you don't move cards by hand between these; they follow the data:

ColumnHow a project lands here
In progressActive (not complete) and the due date is today or in the future.
OverdueActive (not complete) but the due date has already passed — the ones to chase.
CompletedMarked done (progress at 100% / status complete), regardless of due date.

Because the split is computed, a project silently moves from In progress to Overdue the moment its due date passes — no one has to remember to flag it.

Creating & Updating a Project

  1. New project. Give it a name and link a customer (contact or company).
  2. Set a due date. This drives the board and the calendar.
  3. Set progress. Drag the progress slider (0–100%) to reflect how far along the work is; the board re-sorts as you go.
  4. Record value & notes. Optionally a project value and notes for context.
  5. Complete it. Push progress to 100% (or mark complete) and it moves to the Completed column.

Tracking Progress

  • The progress slider gives a quick, visual sense of how each project is tracking — useful in a team stand-up view.
  • Update progress as milestones land; the card reflects it immediately.
  • Overdue-but-incomplete projects stand out in their own column so nothing quietly slips.

Projects on the Calendar

Every project due date also appears on the CRM Calendar, alongside task deadlines, deal close dates and quote expiries — one month grid for every commitment your team has, so nothing slips across the whole CRM, not just projects.

How It Fits the CRM

  • From a won deal. When a deal closes, spin up a project to deliver it — keeping sales and delivery on the same customer record.
  • With tasks. Break a project into assignable tasks with their own due dates and reminders.
  • With the copilot. Ask the AI CRM Copilot to create a project, update progress, or list what's overdue.
